About Toolbox Project Niagara

The Toolbox Project provides people in need across Niagara with care packages during the holiday season to offer support during the colder months.

Our Mission Started 10 Years Ago

In 2017, James Symons founded the Toolbox Project Niagara initiative to provide unhoused men in the region with care packages during the holiday season.

As demand increased year after year, Toolbox expanded its operation to provide care packages to unhoused women as well. Contents included personal hygiene items, warm clothing and winter accessories, food and drinks, and fun gifts to lift folks' spirits around the holiday.

There are many ways to support The Toolbox Project, from donating much-needed items and attending community events to hosting a donation bin or organizing an event of your own.

This Year’s Timeline

Donation bins open on October 1st, marking the official start of this year’s campaign. Our team will be assembling the toolboxes on December 3rd and delivering them across Niagara on December 10th.
